The New LG Optimus 4X HD is packing some monstrous specs with the new Ice Cream Sandwich.
Under the hood you’ll find a colossal 1.5GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor along with a 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Making it the second handset to have a true HD screen, the new LG will have a 4.7-inch 1280x720p IPS True HD screen putting it directly in competition with the current Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
You will also find what appears to be an 8MP snapper with a 1.3MP front facing camera.
Developed by LG the new LG Optimus 4X HD will feature an advanced ‘Companion Core’ technology which reduces the number of processing cores it uses when operating small tasks such as web browsing or texting but will utilise the full quad cores when playing HD movies or games on the smartphone, therefore saving battery life.
To make outputting high-definition video even easier, the LG Optimus 4X HD will also have MHL (Mobile High Definition Link) and DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance).
The LG Optimus 4X HD is expected to be released in June for the UK, then Europe, followed by countries in Asia, CIS, South and Central America in the coming months.
